A few snaps from the African American Day Parade in Harlem a couple weeks ago. (Sidenote - I'm working on updating my site right now, but in the meantime, I'm still figuring out this blog thing)
So I googled myself the other day (as many of us can't deny we often do), and I found at least a few jobs I did that I forgot about! ha. Thanks google. The below is the result of my findings:
This was a shoot for Hardly Magazine. It’s a new online teen magazine, being compared to that of the likes of “Teen Vogue” (I posted some press on it in a previous post). Thanks to the talented Juliana Neufeld for the wonderful illustrations. There is also a clipping below from the contributors page. They asked all contributors to take of picture of themselves eating and interview us so…

This was for Air Canada’s En Route Magazine’s blog. I photographed “The Mascot” coffee shop a while back. It’s a great Parkdale neighborhood spot in Toronto. They show local artists, and serve local coffee from Reunion Island Coffee Company. see en route blog: http://enroute.aircanada.com
A little trip down to the Elsewhere Collaborative artist residency in Greensboro, North Carolina for their annual fundraiser. This years theme: Carnivale. I took out my polaroid camera for the first time in a really long time - this ain't no hipstamatic:) More pics to come. Thanks for letting me spoon with you Lizzie.

The last resin workshop for a while! Sign up now!
As most of you know, I lead resin workshops every few months. The next one is scheduled for Sunday August 15, 2010. As I’m leaving the country for a while, I don’t know when the next time you’ll get a chance to take this workshop again. So, pass the info along to anyone who might be interested. It’s a full day workshop - all materials provided - $350. I think we’re actually doing a student discount this time also, but i have to find out what it is. Believe me, if you are interested in this process, you will save numerous hours of testing and waste lots of money on ruined photos/materials. THIS IS WORTH IT! contact me for more details. talia@taliashipman.com
